Description
Civitanavi Systems SpA is an Italian high-tech company dedicated to the design, development, and production of a wide range of inertial navigation and stabilization systems. Its key applications include systems for aerial navigation, ground vehicles, and drilling applications (mining, oil & gas, etc.), as well as advanced intelligent transportation systems for radar stabilization in patrol and surveillance applications.
The core business of Civitanavi is the design and production of a comprehensive range of inertial navigation solutions and sensors based on fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), which are not subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) export restrictions, targeting the industrial, land and naval transport, and aerospace markets, both in the civil and military defense sectors.
Civitanavi Systems offers an extensive array of completely solid-state solutions (without moving parts) with accuracies ranging from tactical to strategic levels. The products are suitable for safety-critical applications and missions that can be certified according to the strictest avionics standards (DAL A). In addition to its wide range of off-the-shelf products, Civitanavi Systems can design, develop, and produce customized solutions to support specific customer requirements. Founded as a start-up in 2012 in Italy, Civitanavi Systems is now part of Honeywell.
