BEDEX officially launched in Brussels: Belgium at the heart of European defence

The Brussels European Defence Exhibition & Conference (BEDEX) was officially launched during a press conference bringing together major institutional stakeholders and leaders from the defence industry.
The event was presented by its organisers, Joan Condijts and Yassine Rafik, alongside Theo F., Belgian Minister of Defence, as well as leading industry representatives including Julien Compere (FN Browning), Rudy Priem (RTX) and Stéphane Burton (BSDI).
Scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 March 2026 at Brussels Expo, BEDEX positions Belgium as a strategic crossroads at the heart of the European institutions and NATO.
The ambition is clear: to create a leading platform fostering dialogue, cooperation and innovation across the entire European defence ecosystem, bringing together public decision-makers, industrial players, experts and innovators.
Through this initiative, Brussels confirms its central role in building a more connected, more collaborative and future-oriented European defence.
