Description
Mirmex Motor SA is an innovative Belgian company, a spin-off of UCLouvain, headquartered in Wavre (Belgium), with a presence in the United States (Florida).
Specializing in the design and manufacture of custom SBLDC (Slotless Brushless) micromotors, it has developed a revolutionary proprietary technology based on AI-assisted motor winding printing, enabling the creation of unique and high-performance winding geometries compared to traditional wire-based approaches.
Its micromotors are distinguished by their exceptional performance density, zero cogging, and customization possibilities down to the coil level. It is certified for medical applications (ISO Medical Devices, FDA) and supported by the Walloon Region.
The Mirmex micromotors surpass today's equivalents from Swiss, German, and American vendors.
Typical motors for defence applications: target acquisition, laser pointing mechanisms, high-velocity actuators, high precision positioning devices, compact military actuators.
Mirmex Motor's mission
Mirmex Motor's mission is to design and manufacture customized micromotors and motor windings that are more powerful and efficient, revolutionizing the standards of the electric motor industry.
Thanks to its winding printing technology and AI software, it makes customization accessible and affordable, drastically reducing prototyping times. It serves demanding markets such as robotics, defense, aerospace, medical, energy, and industry, with the ambition of permanently disrupting the global micromotor market.
