Description

MAHI is a Belgian company specialising in maritime autonomy technologies and autonomous navigation systems for uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). Founded in 2022 in Mechelen, Belgium, it designs and develops advanced hardware and software platforms that enable autonomous or remotely operated vessels to be safe, efficient and easy to integrate into modern maritime operations: obstacle detection, environmental perception, autonomous navigation and remote operation solutions. These technologies are used for both civilian applications and for defence, maritime surveillance and innovative maritime industries. MAHI was born out of a research project that successfully crossed the Atlantic with an autonomous solar-powered vessel, and is now applying this expertise to a new generation of intelligent maritime systems.

MAHI's mission

To provide advanced maritime autonomy technologies that simplify autonomous navigation for surface vessels by developing integrated hardware and software solutions that improve the safety, efficiency and operability of autonomous and remotely operated maritime operations, both for industrial applications and for defence or surveillance missions.
