IMEC (Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre) is a world-renowned Belgian research and technological innovation centre specialising in nanoelectronics, semiconductors and advanced digital technologies. Founded in 1984 in Leuven (Belgium), this independent institute brings together thousands of researchers, engineers and specialists from various countries, as well as an international network of industrial, academic and institutional partners. IMEC conducts fundamental and applied research on electronic chips, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, silicon photonics, communication and sensing technologies, as well as concrete applications in the fields of health, energy, transport, agriculture and smart cities.

Yes, but only on Saturday, March 14. Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 are strictly reserved for defence and security professionals (industry, institutions, armed forces, public authorities, research and accredited media).

Visitors must be able to justify a professional activity related to defence/security: official delegations, industrial companies, subcontractors, authorities, relevant NGOs, researchers, accredited media, exhibitors’ guests.

Yes. Access is prohibited to those under 16 years of age on the professional days (Thursday 12 and Friday 13 March). On Saturday 14 March, the exhibition is also open to the general public, and access is permitted to minors under 18 years of age.

 In all cases, minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
