Description

EDGX is a Belgian space company founded in 2023, specialising in the development of artificial intelligence and edge computing technologies for satellites. Based in Ghent, the company designs on-board computers capable of processing data directly in orbit, enabling satellite constellations to analyse and exploit information in real time rather than transmitting it to Earth for processing. Its flagship solution, Sterna, combines high computing power, radiation-resistant architecture and a dedicated software stack to support applications such as Earth observation, satellite communications, spectrum monitoring and government and defence missions.

EDGX's mission

Transforming the way satellites use data by bringing computing power and artificial intelligence directly into space, reducing latency, optimising bandwidth usage and enabling rapid decisions in orbit. The company aims to evolve satellites from data collection tools to intelligent systems capable of generating information that can be used instantly by commercial, institutional and defence players.
