Description
Echodyne is a privately held American company founded in Kirkland, Washington, specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced next-generation radar systems for defence, national security and autonomous systems. It is the inventor of the patented MESA® (Metamaterials Electronically Scanned Array) technology, a breakthrough technology that delivers the performance of traditional phased arrays in an ultra-compact format with a very small footprint in terms of size, weight and power consumption (low-SWaP). Its flagship products EchoGuard®, EchoShield® and EchoFlight® are deployed for counter-UAS, perimeter surveillance, force protection and air and ground situational awareness. Echodyne is backed by Bill Gates, Northrop Grumman, NEA and Madrona Venture Group, and its radars are used by militaries, government agencies and critical infrastructure operators around the world, including the Australian Defence Force and dozens of Tier 1 defence suppliers.
Echodyne's mission
Echodyne's mission is to reinvent radar by combining its proprietary MESA® technology with advanced software and machine learning to deliver faster, more accurate and more accessible high-fidelity situational awareness in the air and on the ground. By breaking down the traditional barriers of cost and performance in radar systems, Echodyne aims to equip both deployed military forces and critical infrastructure operators with compact, reliable solutions that can be integrated into any command and control (C2) system or autonomous platform.
