Description
The Directorate-General for Strategic Communication (DG StratCom) is an integral part of Belgian Defense, the national institution responsible for organizing, planning, and executing military operations in the service of national security and international commitments. DG StratCom's strategic role is to coordinate and lead institutional communication activities in support of Defense missions, ensuring consistency of messages, transparency of actions, and proactive communication around the organization's operations, capabilities, and priorities. It also acts as a liaison between the armed forces, political decision-makers, the media, and the public in order to strengthen understanding of defense, security, and resilience issues.
The mission of DEFENSE – DG StratCom
To ensure strategic and institutional communication for the Belgian Defense by supporting understanding and visibility of military missions, capabilities, and priorities, strengthening ownership of national and international security issues, and facilitating dialogue with stakeholders, the media, and citizens, while contributing to the image of the Defense as a reliable actor in the country's security and resilience.

Yes, but only on Saturday, March 14. Thursday, March 12 and Friday, March 13 are strictly reserved for defence and security professionals (industry, institutions, armed forces, public authorities, research and accredited media).
Visitors must be able to justify a professional activity related to defence/security: official delegations, industrial companies, subcontractors, authorities, relevant NGOs, researchers, accredited media, exhibitors’ guests.
Yes. Access is prohibited to those under 16 years of age on the professional days (Thursday 12 and Friday 13 March). On Saturday 14 March, the exhibition is also open to the general public, and access is permitted to minors under 18 years of age.
In all cases, minors under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
